MARY ANNE KESHEN APPOINTED INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTER NATIONAL GOVERNMENT RELATIONS CHAIR FOR THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO

May 5, 2012 (Los Angeles, CA) – Charles Esposito, Legal & Project Manager for Tallen & Keshen Holdings (TKH) and RTA Investments, announced today that the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has appointed TKH co-owner and co-Chair Mary Anne Keshen as the ICSC National Government Relations Chair for the State of  New Mexico for a one-year term beginning May 1st, 2012. In this leadership role, Ms. Keshen will represent the interests of owners, developers, investors, marketers and other retail specialists across the state of New Mexico.

“I am pleased to assume the position of Government Relations Chair and look forward to advocating the issues, opportunities and challenges facing New Mexico’s ICSC membership and the retail real estate industry and to building strong lines of communication with elected officials and stakeholders in New Mexico,” said Ms. Keshen.

Ms. Keshen announced her plan to form an ICSC Government Relations Committee, comprised of retail leaders and stakeholders from across New Mexico. Assisting Ms. Keshen as her Government Relations liaison will be Peter Fendel, who has extensive national government relations experience in legal, political and policy advocacy, having worked in Washington and at a State level. Brittany Sitzer will also act as the liaison in the development of social media, community outreach and business communications.

Ms. Keshen is the co-owner and Chair of Tallen & Keshen Holdings (TKH), a privately owned shopping center investment and development company with offices in Northern and Southern, CA and Santa Fe, NM. She is also the founder and owner of RTA Investments, a distressed asset acquisition and investment management company. TKH has a highly successful track record in acquiring and repositioning under-performing shopping centers and dark retailer projects in markets throughout the Western states, the Southwest and Florida. Ms. Keshen is also an attorney with an extensive background in investments, value creation, land use, government relations and commercial transactions. TKH’s focus is in strategically redeveloping and investing in commercial properties that also support job creation, its valued retailer relationships, business growth and local communities.
